Wikidata – How to manage software development, design and communications in an open source project?

This talk aims to touch upon the significance of open source development, communications within and of an open source project and the specific design process which results from the community aspect of an open source project like Wikidata. It will firstly introduce Wikidata and then uses Wikidata, a relatively new project of only three years old as an example to explain the work, tools and processes of the project and the importance of working with the community in all three areas.

To talk about #WomenInTech is important, because we are working in open source projects which should be accessible for everyone. With Wikidata we aim to introduce a young open source project to increase the number of women in open source projects overall.
